iFolder Plus FAQ
What is iFolder Plus?
- iFolder gives you a realtime off-site backup / sync of your important files.
- iFolder Plus combines iFolder with the benefits of a traditional backup (static point in time).
- iFolder Plus has the added benefit of seven (7) copies (one for each day of the week).
How does iFolder Plus work?
- Net Trek Inc will create a backup at 11:30 pm eastern time every day.
- This backup does not change and is replaced with a new copy 7 days later.
- This backup contains a copy of your iFolder files that were in place at 11:30 pm.
How do I restore a file?
It will be necessary to contact restore@nettrekinc.com or call support. Unfortunately, restoration is not a self service process. Support staff must activate the backup day you select, enable a backup iFolder server, and restore your files.
How much is the fee to restore a file?
$50 per event. You may restore one or more files from a given backup.
If you need files from last Wednesday and last Monday, that is two events.
A fee of $100 would be charged.
Today is Monday and my QuickBook file has been infected by a virus.
After removing the virus, my QuickBook file won't open. Can I restore
a copy from Friday? Yes! Any file that was in your iFolder can be restored.
I deleted a file on Friday. My trash was emptied on Monday. Here it
is Tuesday, and I need that deleted file. Which day should I restore? Thursday. The backup we create is done at 11:30 pm. If the file is
not there at the end of the day, we can\'t back it up.
How long does it take to activate a backup? This is a function of the size of your account. It can take several
hours for us to prepare the system for your access.
Can I rename the file when I restore it?
Yes. You can rename it and place it anywhere you like. |
